Lead with Voice
Community Conversations
w/military connected youth and adults

Select military-connected youth and adults who work with them are joining together in February 2023 to Lead with Voice!  Our community conversations bring teens (8-12th grade) together in conversations led by their peers while adults working with military-connected youth will also meet in conversations led by the University of Georgia's J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development.

Schools, installations, guard, and reserve youth programs as well as 4-H programs may select one military-connected youth and one adult who is working with military-connected youth to represent their programs.. Selected representatives can register for their conversation online.

We are adding additional facilitators including both youth (aged 16-20) and adults (over 21) at assist with conversations. Unlike the conversation participations who are military-connected or working with military-connected, anyone may serve as a facilitator. Facilitator information is available online.

The CYFAR 4-H Military Partnership PDTA Project has partnered with the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development at the University of Georgia on this project.  Following the series of conversations, we will share the collective experiences from youth and adults, identify innovations, opportunities, and challenges that have occurred, better understand the unique stressors for both youth and adults, and create recommendations for youth practice moving forward.
