4-H Military Partnership

Military readiness through 4-H positive youth development for youth, families, and communities

Lead with Voice
Community Conversations

We are excited  for our  military-connected youth (and the adults who work with them) to share their voices and chat with each other about their experiences, hopes, challenges, and dreams.  We will use Zoom as our platform  and we need each participant, youth or adult, to be on an individual device. Our discussion is not designed for multiple viewers on one device. During the conversation, you will share with your peers about your experiences, thoughts, and your hopes for the future You will have a peer facilitator and, if you are in a youth room,  with adult chaperones who also serve as note takers.  Teens will be chatting with teens and adults with adults.

During the session, your ideas and thoughts may be recorded but will not be identified by your name but rather the comments in general. You are not required to answer every question and you may share at your level of comfort. While we will ask everyone to keep each other's responses confidential, we can not guarantee what you share in your room is not shared by another participant.  We hope to provide a setting that is comfortable for all so that we may learn and share together.

Participation is open to teens in 8th - 12th grade who are members of a military-connected family as well as adults (those out of high school) who work with military-connected teens and families.
