Over 1.6 million military children navigate unique challenges shaped by their parents' service. In recognition of their sacrifices, the 4-H Military Partnership—alongside the Department of War, state and local governments, schools, and private citizens—proudly celebrates these resilient youth. Because when a parent serves, their children serve too!

Purple Up! for Military Kids Day Celebration Ideas

Communities celebrate Purple Up! for Military Kids Day to show support for military-connected children, youth, and teens. While some states and services have a specific day for Purple Up!, others may rotate it each year. Check in your community for a date or select your own for your organization.

While your community may select a specific date for Purple Up! for Military Kids Day celebrations, there are many ways to "purple up" all month long and celebrate military youth.
